UASAC’s Recruitment Update

As we continue to reshape and revision the U of A’s Sexual Assault Centre, we are pleased to announce the successful recruitment of core positions designed to support the critical work of the centre. These roles enhance our support services and advance our mission to provide a safe and supportive environment for all members of our community.

Our new Drop-in Counsellor and Education Coordinator roles will support the centre’s mission of delivering dedicated resources to survivors of sexual violence, as well as provides comprehensive educational workshops for the campus community. Reporting to the Registered Psychologist, the Drop-In Counsellor will be accountable for the delivery of programming that promotes student engagement, student retention, and wellness for members of the university community who have experienced sexual and/or gender-based violence.

The Education Coordinator will be responsible for the operations of the Education Program at the Sexual Assault Centre. This includes both developing and facilitating multi-modal anti-sexual violence educational programming, as well as overseeing the peer education provided by Education Volunteers.

The U of A Sexual Assault Centre offers full-time drop-in services from Mon - Fri 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.
